Kristin Robinson: Hello, and welcome to On the Record, a music business podcast from Billboard and SickBird Productions. As always, I’m your host, Kristin Robinson, and today we are doing our first ever monthly news update episode. While we love doing our episodes every single week where we basically invite in a top executive or artist or other creative to come in and talk to us about a specific topic in the music industry, I really wanted to make sure that we were doing more to let you guy know about the headlines that are coming in Billboard.com every single week. So I am now going to be doing this at the top of every month. We’re going to invite on one of my colleagues to come and talk shop with me. And for this first edition, we are joined by the lovely executive editor of business, Dan Rys. Hey, Dan. How are you?
Dan Rys: I’m all right. How are you?
Kristin Robinson: I’m good. I’m good. All right. Are you ready to get started?
Dan Rys: Let’s do it.
Kristin Robinson: OK. So I’m going to read off a headline, and then we’re going to talk through it, um, and all the stuff that you guys need to know about it. So our first headline is, “Val Blavatnik named to Warner Music Group executive team. Elliot Grainge named chair of ADA. ” OK, Dan, you were the one who reported on this one. Can you tell us a little bit more about why this headline matters?
