On Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. EST, the U.S. Department of State will host an event honoring the U.S. commitment to international religious freedom at the U.S. Institute of Peace with remarks from Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan and Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Samuel D. Brownback.

The event will be an opportunity for high level officials from the United States government to meet with religious freedom advocates from civil society, religious organizations, legislators, and foreign dignitaries, and discuss the future of international religious freedom.

Remarks will be open to the press.

Preset time for video cameras: 2:00 p.m. from the 23rd street entrance of the U.S. Institute of Peace on 2301 Constitution Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C.

Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 2:45 p.m. from the 23rd street entrance of the U.S. Institute of Peace on 2301 Constitution Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of a photo identification card.
