Migration is one of the most significant social events in the development of mankind, therefore, the Government of the Republic works and progresses to ensure a better life both Mexicans abroad and foreigners in Mexico, said the undersecretary Population, Migration and Religious Affairs, Mercedes del Carmen Guillén Vicente.
In opening the photo exhibition “Mexico, do not leave me” El Colegio de la Frontera Norte and a sample of the sculpture of Enrique Carbajal González “Sebastian”, the Secretary of the Interior said that from this office “work in improving the quality transit of migrants with a strong commitment to human rights. ”
On behalf of the Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Angel Osorio Chong, said that “Mexico is moving and is doing for good”, and in this regard, he said, art is a dialogue between cultures and generations that pushes the boundaries and intertwines peoples.
Guillén Vicente thanked both Tonatiuh Guillén López, president of El Colegio de la Frontera Norte as the sculptor Enrique Carbajal González “Sebastian” for his enthusiasm to bring the facilities of the Secretariat of Government both samples that address the immigration issue.
The border crossing represents the junction between the photographic exhibition “Mexico, do not leave me” comprising 28 images and sculptures that presents 23 pieces.
During the event held at the forecourt of the Secretariat of Government, Tonatiuh Guillen said that “through this photographic collection encourages us to recognize migrants, people, children, women and men committed to strong will” as this, he said, “invites us to understand ourselves as a nation of immigrants.”
