Alexander Blockx is broken and he immediately walks over to the umpire, shakes his hand and retires. He was hampered throughout with an ankle and thigh injury but he simply could not fight through it.
That does not take away from the impressive effort of Karen Khachanov, who was relentless and held every serve he had. He’s through to the semifinal.
