Presley Walker Gerber, a model and the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, has died. A representative for the family confirmed the news to Deadline. He was 27.
A statement from the family read as follows: “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
An L.A. County Medical Examiner’s report says Gerber died at a rehab facility. An investigation into the cause is ongoing.
Gerber was signed to IMG models and appeared in a 2018 Pepsi ad with his mother. His modeling career began with a 2015 Bruce Weber shoot. He soon was doing runway work at the various fashion weeks around the globe.
He recalled the whirlwind in a 2023 interview with the podcast Studio 22.
“My whole life changed within a month and it was just a very profound experience because I had to grow up quickly,” said Gerber.
In 2019, he was arrested for a DUI in Beverly Hills and sentenced to three years’ probation. Then 19, Gerber was also ordered to complete a DUI program.
His younger sister, Kaia Gerber, currently plays Susan Reynolds in Ryan Murphy’s The Shards.
