Wall Street expects strong commercial momentum for Palantir following its latest updates around AI sovereignty. Palantir’s AIPCon 11 focused heavily on AI sovereignty rather than new models or compute partnerships, reinforcing the idea that enterprises and governments need AI systems that are model-agnostic, auditable, and fully under their control.
DA Davidson Raises PT
DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria made a move on PLTR’s price target, raising it from $200 to $250. Luria states that customers’ concerns lie around AI models, and they are increasingly sophisticated about AI model selection. The analyst further emphasized that Palantir’s AIP platform is built precisely for that moment. Moreover, Palantir has achieved consistent GAAP profitability, a rare distinction among high-growth software peers and a key to its optimism.
The company expects U.S. commercial revenue to exceed $3.424 billion for FY2026, representing growth of at least 134% from a year ago. This is the strongest aspect for the company and plays a vital role in Palantir’s AI moat, which is passing the real stress test for the sovereignty thesis for now. This accelerating growth signals that enterprises are signing contracts, and AIPCon’s strategic timing will further boost its AI authority. With NATO defense budgets increasing and the U.S. defense modernization expansion, Palantir’s government segment carries a structural multi-year tailwind. This makes the commercial story additive rather than compensatory.
The Valuation in Question?
The bear case for Palantir (PLTR) is simple. For a company trading at more than 110x its forward earnings, it has zero margin for error, meaning a single quarter of decelerating or lower-than-expected U.S. commercial growth could challenge the growth narrative and put significant pressure on the valuation multiple. Moreover, two major risks that the upgrade does not address are federal spending exposure under a budget-cutting environment, which could trigger government revenue without warning, and continued dependence on large customers, with its top three customers accounting for 16% of revenue in the first half of 2026.
Companies such as Microsoft, AWS, and Google are creating model-agnostic development layers, having the advantage of an enterprise infrastructure stack over Palantir. AIPCon 11 was a solid move to express its AI strategy, and time will tell if it translates into durable competitive separation.
