Real Madrid are taking a cautious approach with Kylian Mbappé’s recovery from the knee injury he picked up during the FIFA break but the French striker will almost surely be available to face Villarreal this Saturday, according to a report published today on MARCA.
That doesn’t mean that the Frenchman will start, though. Real Madrid will play a tough away game against Roma next week and Mourinho could decide to keep Mbappé fresh for the European match. Still, it seems clear that the French star will be more than ready for El Clásico later this month, which was always the main priority right after he was diagnosed with the hyper-extended knee.
