US forces withdraw from their remaining bases in Iraq on Wednesday, raising fears they will leave behind a security vacuum, further embolden Iranian-backed militias and give the resurgent Islamic State group an opening to regroup. It comes 23 years after US-led forces toppled dictator Saddam Hussein, then triggered upheaval and chaos, culminating with the rise of Islamic…

ki’s “tissue” conjures up a school of tiny fish. Flickers of maybe-phrases—“wanna be with you,” “what I’m saying”—stick out from the stream of pitch-shifting gurgles that adorn makkgin’s delicately pummeling beat. Trying to transcribe this song is a lost cause; it’s about the syllables and the feeling. The song combines underground sing-rap experiments over the last decade, from 645AR’s heavenly squeals to David Shawty’s ridiculous stutters to wokeups’ warbly plugg bounce. Imagine Duwap Kaine’s “Playin Wit Da Autotune” taken as the starting point for an entire style of wounded angel sputtering. The lack of dynamics and constant spray of broken…
James Trafford: Made a good save in the second half. Trafford was very calm with the ball at his feet and showed his passing range which pleased Tuchel throughout. 6Trent Alexander-Arnold: Started his first England game for nearly two years. But Chalobah settled and ensured England kept a clean sheet against 10-man Czech Republic. 6Marc Guehi: The usual reliable…
