On July 15, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum will host an opening event marking the start of the second Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom in Washington, DC.
U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback will join Museum Director Sara Bloomfield and a Holocaust survivor in delivering remarks on the importance of promoting religious freedom and protecting religious minorities. Ambassador Brownback will join Director Bloomfield in a private tour with survivors of religious persecution and participate in a candle lighting ceremony led by Holocaust survivors in the museum’s Hall of Remembrance.
On July 18, the U.S. Department of State, National Museum of African American History and Culture and U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum will host a closing event at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. Ambassador Brownback and Holocaust Museum Director Sarah Bloomfield will deliver remarks.
These events are open to the press and media can gain access with a Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom credential.
