Canada strongly supports multilateralism as the most effective way to address today’s security challenges.
In support of Canada’s transatlantic security partnership, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will attend the Munich Security Conference in Munich, Germany, from February 15 to 17, 2019.
At the conference, the Minister will engage with her counterparts and international security experts to explore lasting solutions to major global challenges. These will include, among other issues, international arms control, human rights, the crisis in Venezuela, support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, and Russia’s violations of the rules-based international order.
