Club Will Face the Timbers in Quarterfinals of Lamar Hunt U.S. Opaen Cup on Wednesday; Interviews with Bob Bradley, Carlos Vela and Tyler Miller Below
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and the Portland Timbers played to a scoreless draw at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Club finished the match with 10 men after Lee Nguyen was shown a red card and ejected for violent conduct in the 84th minute. LAFC had six shots on target including a header in the 93rd minute by forward Carlos Vela that was saved by Timbers’ goalkeeper Jeff Attinella.
LAFC will face the Timbers Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Club returns to league play Sunday, July 22 as they travel to take on Minnesota United FC at TCF Bank Stadium at 4 p.m. PT.
