Geneva (IOM) – Using cutting edge virtual reality technology, IOM has launched an exhibition that enables viewers to inhabit the world of internally displaced people. In recognition of the twentieth anniversary of the 1998 Guiding Principles on Displacement. One of the exhibition tells the story of Hannatu, (pictured above behind IOM’s Director General Swing). Hannatu tells how when Boko Haram invaded her home in Baga, Nigeria, she fled into the bush. She found a t-shirt which she says helped save her life.
