IRVINE, Calif. (March 6, 2018): The Irvine Animal Care Center is inviting all runners, walkers and animal-lovers to take part in its inaugural Virtual 5K April 1-30 to support animals in need. The center’s Virtual 5K can be completed at any location you choose throughout the month of April, can be done at your own pace and is timed yourself.

Just submit your entry fee of $35 at irvineanimals.org/5k, complete your race by April 30, and receive an exclusive medal and certificate of completion. Enter your four-legged friend to participate with you in the Virtual 5K for an additional $8, and they will also receive their very own medal for completing the race. Proceeds go toward shelter and care of animals at the Irvine Animal Care Center, which offers services including pet adoptions, events and licensing for Irvine residents.
