(SBS); (NASDAQ: SBSA), today announced that its Chicago station WLEY-FM “La Ley 107.9FM” will be launching starting Monday, October 29, 2012, during Omar “El Plebe’s” midday show, a segment with WGN News at Five” Anchor Lourdes Duarte who will be providing daily news briefs during the show and discussing the important topics of the day at 2:50 p.m. (CT) each weekday.Lourdes and Omar “El Plebe” will converse about important topics and other issues that matter most to the Latino community in Chicago.

Omar “El Plebe” has one of the most popular shows in “La Ley 107.9FM” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (CT). This famous and loveable personality from Obregon, Hermosillo Sonora started his radio career in 1991 in Morelos, Mexico. In 1999 he started his career in the states in SBS Los Angeles, 97.9FM La Raza, and in 2001 he moved to Chicago where he began his radio profession in La Ley 107.9FM.

Each week, Omar “El Plebe” during his show, plays chart-topping songs, debut new music and takes requests as he welcome listeners to his program. Broadcasting live from Chicago, Illinois, he’ll also discuss music and entertainment as well as feature candid conversations with music artists and celebrities.

Lourdes Duarte currently hosts “Adelante Chicago” one of WGN-TV’s public affairs shows as well as WGN News at Five”.Duarte joined WGN-TV five years ago as a general assignment reporter. Duarte maintains a strong presence in the Latino community.  She has won several awards including her most recent Emmy® Award for her work on “Hoy en Dia” and Society of Professional Journalists Awards for Minority Issues Reporting.  Most recently, she won an Emmy® Award for her work on“Adelante Chicago.”

Prior to joining WGN-TV in 2007, Duarte worked as a reporter/fill-in anchor at WJBK-TV in Detroit, Michigan and as a reporter for WXIN-TV in Indianapolis. While there, she launched and hosted the station’s public affairs program, “Hoy en Dia,” and anchored daily news cut-ins for radio station WEDJ-FM.  Duarte also served as a reporter in Peoria at WHOI-TV and at Metro Networks in Miami, Florida for radio stations WLRN-FM and WTMI-FM.  Born in Chicago, she got her start here, working as a freelance reporter for Telemundo.
