There are 50.5 million Latinos in the United States, a total of 308.7 million. That is 16% of the total U.S. population in 2010 was Latino. And by 2050 it is estimated that the percentage of the U.S. population will be 29%.
Also, the percentage increase from the 2000 census of the U.S. Latino population, according to the census of 2010 is 43%.
For this 2012, there are 14 million registered Hispanic voters. In Florida, 21% of the population “undecided” about their vote is Hispanic. And 17% of potential voters in the “undecided” in Colorado who are Hispanic.
Latino voters have the power to exercise more influence, be the deciding factor in most political contests and cast more votes than ever before, and it is clear that candidates and political committees are struggling to capture those votes.
Not all politicians are the same, we can say that nothing else in California, New Mexico, in Chicago more than a million and a half of Latinos, then it is important that a national projection, is becoming increasingly more spaces, including elected officials by their own communities and political organizations are mobilizing enumerating and more community, then I would not agree to target political one, but there are a number of Latino politicians with agendas a very progressive and very oriented to the Latino community.
Latino Vote to defend there interests regardless of the political party?. who does not participate has no right to complain. And those who are not eligible to vote, may volunteer to encourage others to do so.
