After exchanging diss tracks in the past, all seemed to be calm on the BIA and Cardi B front for much of 2026.
That all changed last Thursday (Aug. 13) when BIA doubled down on her claims made on “SUE MEEE?,” which led to Cardi unleashing on the “Whole Lotta Money” rapper hours later.
The feud stretches back to 2023, when BIA aligned herself with Cardi’s rival, Nicki Minaj, as they teamed up on “Whole Lotta Money” in 2020, and fans noticed BIA allegedly scrubbed her X account of Cardi-praising posts she had made in the past. However, BIA said they had no problems.
Still, in 2024, Cardi and BIA threw their names into the rap beef ring. BIA shaded the Grammy-winning artist over alleged similarities between BIA’s Really Her EP and Cardi’s “Enough (Miami).” She also appeared to take issue with Cardi interpolating Missy Elliott’s 1999 hit “She’s a Bitch” on “Like What (Freestyle),” which BIA sampled a year before on “I’m That Bitch.”
BIA brought the feud into the studio and released her “SUE MEEE?” diss track, in which she blasted Cardi over claims of infidelity and allegedly using ghostwriters.
Cardi eventually fired back in 2025 on Am I the Drama?‘s “Pretty & Petty,” where she mocked BIA’s lack of commercial success and referred to the rapper as Diarrhea BIA.
The clash was resurrected last week, and this doesn’t appear to be the final chapter of the Cardi B and BIA war. Here’s a timeline of their feud below.

March 2023: BIA Denies Ever Having Any Problems With Cardi B
With BIA joining forces with Cardi’s rival Nicki Minaj on a couple of remixes, eagle-eyed fans allegedly found tweets of BIA complimenting Cardi that were scrubbed from her account, which led to speculation there could be an issue between them. BIA addressed and shot down the idea there was any tension with Cardi during a 2023 TikTok Live.
“I didn’t switch up on anybody because I don’t know Cardi in real life. I’ve never met Cardi, we’ve never had a conversation,” BIA said. “Like, I don’t have no issues with her, it’s all love, but I don’t know her. Y’all do too much on this app, I don’t know her in real life. We don’t know each other. We don’t know them. Ask me about somebody I know.

March 2024: Cardi Interpolates Same Missy Elliott Hit as BIA & BIA Responds
Cardi B interpolated Missy Elliott’s 1999 hit “She’s a Bitch” on her “Like What (Freestyle)” and fans noticed that BIA also sampled the same Missy and Timbaland collaboration for her “I’m That Bitch” from 2023. BIA ended up replying to a tweet calling out the similarities with a series of woozy face emojis.
Cardi appeared to respond subliminally hours later: “Bitches make a fool of themselves every single time.. ima show ya something when I release this song tho.”

Later in BIA’s verse, fans felt she was alluding to Cardi’s relationship with Offset. “I can never turn my phone on just to cry, on a Live/ I hate a sneaky n—a, pick a side/ If you wanna get up with me, tell that b—h that we’re outside,” she continues.

BIA seemingly responded with a clip from a rap battle featuring one rhymer getting cooked by the audience.

BIA previewed her Cardi diss track on IG Live then released “SUE MEEE?” a couple of days later, which saw her jab Cardi about infidelity, shamed her body and even name-dropped her kids.
“Put it on your hubby since you love lying on your vows/ I write all my verses, I can do this s–t for hours/ I be d–ned I let a n—a f–k a b—h inside my house,” she raps.

June 2024: Cardi Plays Recorded Phone Call With BIA on IG Live
Cardi responded to BIA’s “SUE MEEE?” with an explosive IG Live, which found her explaining the history between herself and BIA.
Cardi ended up playing a recorded phone call where BIA accused Cardi of copying her style on “Like What” and “Enough” and ended up in a shouting match as they took shots at each other. Cardi showed proof that she recorded on the beat for “Enough” in 2022 and BIA had no influence on the track.
Cardi also shut down BIA’s claims that she was cheating on Offset when they were together. “When you lie about my p—y, I’ma sue you and you gotta come with receipts,” she responded. “Lying on my p—y will get you sued… Find something safe to do. Ask Tasha K!”

“Name five BIA songs, gun pointing to your head/ Bow, I’m dead,” she raps. “That melatonin flow puttin’ us to bed/ I’m doing you a favor, Epic, run me my bread.”
Cardi continues to torch her by referring to BIA as “Diarrhea BIA” and shames her looks, while also telling her she made a mistake mentioning her children’s names.

October 2025: BIA Clarifies Cardi’s Claim About Passing on ‘Whole Lotta Money’ Reference Track
BIA spoke to Billboard to clarify Cardi’s claims about passing on a “Whole Lotta Money” reference track, which made it back to BIA.
“It’s so funny, because the reference that she’s speaking of is the part ‘it’s a whole lot of money,’ and maybe a verse,” she said. “I wrote the first verse on that song, and the hook, ‘I put on my jewelry just to go to the bodega.’ So I’m so glad you clarified that, because there would be no ‘Whole Lotta Money’ if there was no, ‘I put on my jewelry just to go to the bodega.’”
She continued: “That’s facts, and there would be no ‘Whole Lotta Money’ if there was no “I can wear what you b—ches wear, because it’s cheap to me,’ which is also what I wrote. So I think that you can have writers. Everybody uses writers. But what I’m talking about is a co-writer. There’s not a song that I don’t touch on my on my album, lyrically, that I don’t put pen to paper.”

Cardi’s Little Miss Drama Tour invaded BIA’s hometown of Boston in April. While she still performed “Pretty & Petty,” Cardi told the Bardi Gang not to bully BIA on social media.
“We not gonna do that. Don’t bully that girl on social media. Don’t do that, don’t do that,” Cardi said to the crowd. “She’s gonna wanna beat the shit out of me after today. If I see you, I see you, I don’t give a fuck — it’s up and stuck. But don’t bully her on social media; I don’t like that.”

August 2026: Cardi Reignites Feud & Unleashes on BIA
After seeing BIA talk about “SUE MEEE?” again, Cardi was quick to hop on Spaces to unleash on the “Whole Lotta Money” rapper.
“B—h, you’re a f–king weirdo. B—h, you wanna have beef with me so bad. You need to have beef with God,” she spewed. “It ain’t my fault you ain’t never made it, b—h. B—h, I don’t wanna f–king look like you, I don’t wanna sound like you, I don’t wanna rap like you, I don’t wanna dress like you, I don’t wanna smell like you because everyone say your breath stink. I don’t wanna be f–king like you.”
Cardi once again responded to BIA’s claims that she was copying one of her music videos. “You’re nothing I look up to … You don’t have nothing … You don’t inspire me for s–t,” she said, before dropping a few names who do inspire her including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Madonna.
The Grammy winner also shut down infidelity rumors when she was with Offset, which the “AH HA” rapper says never happened.
“Let’s talk about how months later your dumb ass told one of my ex-husband’s friends that I was cheating on him,” she said. “And I was like, ‘Yo, where the f–k that s–t came from? Where the f–k that s–t came from? Mind you, when you said that s–t, I never flirted with a n—a. I never kissed a n—a. I never had a DM with a n—a.”
