Caitlin Clark made it very clear in a short interview on her way to the locker room with ABC what she thinks about the competitive level in this game so far:
💬 “I think we should pick it up more. Let’s play a little bit. These fans paid a lot of money to get in the door. Let’s not just walk around. We don’t need to go 100 percent but let’s pick it up and have some fun for them.”
Team Coop teammate and WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike, walking alongside Clark and ESPN’s Holly Rowe, agreed.
Keep in mind, Kelsey Plum, an All-Star who could not play because of injury, just got done telling the network’s broadcast team she thought they needed to do something to make next year’s event more competitive, floating a stronger financial incentive.
