Luis Enrique’s PSG? Well, not this season… at least not in Ligue 1!
In fact, two former Flamengo and Botafogo coaches are locked in quite a battle at the top of Ligue 1.
Filipe Luís, in charge of Monaco, and Davide Ancelotti, at the helm of Lille, are fighting for the French league lead point by point!

The principality’s club, led by the Brazilian coach, have been the surprise package of the season.
The only unbeaten team so far, Monaco lead the league with 14 points from six games, a run that includes an away win over PSG.
This Sunday (18), they visit Lorient, but could take to the pitch already under pressure.
That’s because the Italian coach’s Lille, currently second with 13 points, host Brest this Saturday (17) and will temporarily go top with a win.
Filipe Luís will be without a key player for Sunday’s clash. German forward Paris Brunner, one of the team’s standout performers with four goals, is serving the second and final game of his suspension.

The 21-year-old was punished by the league’s disciplinary committee for making a “throat-slitting” gesture towards the opposing fans during the win over Strasbourg in September.
The race for top spot will come to a head next matchday, with a showdown between Monaco and Lille scheduled for October 25.
In the head-to-head record between the coaches, the Brazilian has the edge: in their only previous meeting, Filipe Luís’s Flamengo beat Davide Ancelotti’s Botafogo 3-0 in a Brazilian league match a year ago.
