The 11th Asian World Film Festival (AWFF)  from November 11–20, 2025, at The Culver Theater in Culver City. It featured a diverse selection of films from over 30 Asian countries, with a special “Focus on” series highlighting Cambodia, South Korea, and Taiwan. 

Event details

  • Dates: The festival ran for 10 days, from November 11 to 20, 2025.
  • Venue: The main venue was The Culver Theater, located at 9500 Culver Boulevard, Culver City.
  • Festival lineup: The 2025 lineup included 73 feature-length and short films.
    • Opening film: The Summer Will End from the Republic of Sakha, Russia.
    • Closing film: The Voice of Hind Rajab, a docudrama directed by Kaouther Ben Hania.
    • Oscar submissions: 23 official Oscar submissions for Best International Feature Film were screened.
  • Award winners: The festival’s awards, known as the “Snow Leopard” awards, were announced at the closing ceremony.
  • Tickets: Tickets were available for purchase on the festival’s official website. 

Special features

  • Focus on series: The festival showcased the vibrant film industries of Cambodia, South Korea, and Taiwan through special screenings and programs.
  • Short film program: A program dedicated to supporting and promoting filmmaking in Asia and the work of Asian/Asian-American/Multiracial-Asian filmmakers was featured.
