Message of Jennifer M. Granholm, U.S. Secretary of Energy
Thank you so much for this warm welcome and for being able to have a great conversation with a great ally. The meetings that our leaders had in Washington really emphasized the importance of a strong North America, and we are excited to be able to bring that and, particularly, since I’m the Secretary of Energy, in this energy space.
Mexico has such an enviable and amazing series of clean resources that we want to talk about. And, like all friends, there may be issues that we’re also going to work on—on the electricity reform—but we know that in the end we are going to be strong allies, strongly supportive of a strong North American economy and I really appreciate the friendship and I look forward to the conversations.

Muchas gracias por esta cálida bienvenida y por la oportunidad de tener una muy buena conversación con un gran aliado. Las reuniones que tuvieron nuestros líderes en Washington enfatizaron la importancia de una América del Norte fuerte, y estamos entusiasmados de poder seguir con eso, particularmente, dado que soy la Secretaria de Energía, en esta parte energética.
México tiene una envidiable y asombrosa serie de recursos limpios de la que queremos hablar.
