The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) earned a convincing 2-0 victory over USL side, Fresno FC, in the first-ever Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup contest at Banc of California Stadium. Second-half goals from forwards Diego Rossi and Latif Blessing were the difference on Wednesday night as the Black & Gold advanced to the Round of 16 of the tournament.
LAFC will find out their next opponent with a draw taking place tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. PT. The Club returns to league play this Saturday, June 9 as they travel to Northern California to take on the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium.
