LOS ANGELES, June 5, 2017 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The following statement is being issued by Carney Bates & Pulliam, PLLC regarding Gordon v. Hain Celestial.

A proposed settlement (“Settlement”) has been reached in a class action lawsuit about JASON Natural Products, including Long & Strong Jojoba Pure Natural Shampoo, Volumizing Lavender Shampoo, Normalizing Tea Tree Treatment Shampoo, Dandruff Relief 2 in 1 Treatment Shampoo & Conditioner, and Smoothing Coconut Body Wash (the “Products”). The lawsuit alleges that these Products were mislabeled as being free of sodium lauryl sulfate. Defendants deny the claims in the lawsuit.

If you are a Settlement Class Member, you may go online to download or electronically submit a claim. A federal court authorized this Notice. Before any money is paid, the court will have a hearing to decide whether to approve the Settlement.

What does the Settlement provide? The Settlement creates a fund of $1.1 million. Each Settlement Class Member who files a valid and timely Claim Form will be eligible to receive a payment.  Claim Forms are available at www.GordonSettlement.com.

Am I a Settlement Class Member? You’re a Settlement Class Member if you purchased, not for resale purposes, any of the Products in the United States between August 17, 2011 and June 2, 2017.

What are my options? To receive a payment, you must mail or submit a completed Claim Form online by September 18, 2017If you do not wish to participate in the Settlement, you may exclude yourself by August 14, 2017, or you may object to the Settlement by August 14, 2017. The specific details for filing an exclusion or objection are in the detailed notice available at the Settlement Website. The Court will hold a hearing on September 22, 2017 to consider the Settlement and Class Counsel’s request for up to $200,000 in attorneys’ fees and expenses and an incentive award to the Plaintiff of $5,000. You do not have to attend the hearing.
